JUVEDERM XC & XC Plus
Over time, your skin loses elasticity, which contributes to moderate to severe nasolabial folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Juvederm XC adds volume to smooth these lines and folds, to help give you the subtle, long-lasting results you want with great versatility. XC can be used to add volume to lips, correct volume loss in the nasolabial folds, and soften marionette lines. It has the smallest molecule of all of the Juvederm products, and provides a softer, more natural look to the face and lips. Juvederm XC Plus has all of the benefits of Juvederm XC but is used for patients with more severe volume loss. Where Juvederm XC is used for mild to moderate volume loss, XC Plus is for moderate to severe volume loss. Both XC and XC Plus are FDA approved to last up to a year.
The procedure for Juvederm XC or XC Plus takes around 60 minutes, though it can take longer if there are multiple syringes. Both XC and XC Plus come with a pain relieving additive, lidocaine, to help with any discomfort, however we also offer additional, stronger pain relieving methods such as dental blocks or topical numbing cream. Please make sure to mention any concerns about discomfort at your consultation. Most patients experience some amount of swelling for at least two to three days after their treatment, and there is the potential for bruising. JUVEDERM VOLLURE
Lines and wrinkles are the most common concern when it comes to signs of aging, likely because they're often the first ones we notice. Juvederm Vollure helps to reduce that concern by softening moderate to severe parentheses lines and wrinkles. Vollure works by adding volume to the lines and wrinkles around your nose and mouth to produce subtle and long-lasting results, up to 18 months. It's a particularly effective filler for the below the cheekbones because it fills lines and wrinkles without adding a lot of volume. Vollure is often described as used for fine tuning the lines and wrinkles in the face, and works like a thin “sheet" to help smooth the skin.

Some want to remove the vertical lines appearing around their mouth. Whatever your needs are, when it comes to your lips, Juvederm Volbella was formulated to help you. It's stellar performance treating areas around the mouth makes it perfect for the etched, vertical lines around the mouth, often dubbed “smoker lines” or “straw lines”. Volbella is subtle, and does not add a significant amount of volume which makes it a perfect filler for fine lines and lip augmentation.

FAMILY OF JUVEDERM FILLERS
What can I expect during a Juvederm treatment?
Receiving one of the Juvederm options begins with a consultation. At your consultation you'll be able to discuss your goals and decide with Practitioner Edwards on the best type of Juvederm that works for you.
Before any procedure begins, the practitioner may cleanse your face in order to ensure safety as well as best results. The injections themselves are performed with a very small needle, which is placed under the skin for a short series of injections. Most patients describe feeling only a slight pinch, though a topical anesthetic can also be used to reduce discomfort.
What about after?
There is no downtime with the use of Juvederm, although you should be aware that if you're planning on returning to work there may be some amount of mild swelling in the first day.
After your treatment you'll receive a sheet of aftercare instructions which help to prevent and/or reduce any mild swelling or bruising. Though results may seem immediate, the area after treatment is often at least slightly swollen so we recommend waiting a week to confirm the final results.
